The Turkmen delegation took part in the first regional foresight seminar “Central Asia – 2050: Paving the Way to Shared Prosperity and Stability”, which is being held in Tashkent from May 27 to 28, as reported uza.uz.
Representatives of government agencies, research and analytical centers, as well as independent experts attended the forum from all countries of the region, including Turkmenistan.
The forum discussed issues related to the region for the period up to 2050, such as demography, energy, climate, water, transport integration, human capital. Particular attention was paid to industrial cooperation and economic interdependence of the countries of the region.
An open essay competition on the future of Central Asia was also announced as part of the seminar. Young people living in the countries of the region are invited to participate in the competition. The best 100 essays will be published in the final collection. More detailed information can be found on the website mampassi.org/centralasia2050. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until June 15.
The ideas and initiatives developed at the first regional foresight forum “Central Asia – 2050: Paving the Way to Shared Prosperity and Stability” will contribute to the formation of the agenda of the upcoming consultative meeting of heads of state. They will also create a basis for sustainable cooperation in the areas of development, innovation and regional integration.
