The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldyev, participated in the first meeting of education ministers in the Central Asia-China format, which took place on May 12 in Urumqi, as reported by uza.uz.
At the meeting, the participants discussed priority areas for multilateral cooperation in the field of education between Central Asian countries and China.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on issues such as strengthening institutional ties, creating teacher training programs, conducting joint research, and coordinating efforts to train specialists. Proposals were put forward to create joint laboratories and research centers.
Following the meeting, the Urumqi Declaration and a document defining the mechanism for holding meetings of education ministers were adopted, laying the foundations for further cooperation.
