The 20th Asiavision Coordinators’ Meeting opened in Kuala Lumpur on January 21. The forum, under the motto “Connecting the Asia-Pacific Region: One Story, Many Voices,” brought together heads of television and radio companies and media managers from the region, according to the country’s International Information Center.
The Resident Coordinator and Editor-in-Chief of the International Information Center, Maksat Kurbangeldiyev, represented Turkmenistan.
The modernization of the information sector allows Turkmen specialists to highlight the country’s achievements and participate in shaping the international media agenda.
Delegates discuss key challenges in journalism: legal and ethical issues of news exchange, digital transformation, and the implementation of artificial intelligence. The program includes sessions with experts from the ABU, TRT Türkiye, the European Broadcasting Union, and BBC Media Action.
