On January 9, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamamedov presented draft work plans for the construction and industrial complex for 2026 at a government meeting.
The documents provide for quality control over the construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, provision of construction materials to the industry, construction of new and reconstruction of existing enterprises, modernization of the energy sector, implementation of modern technologies, and development of chemical and construction product exports. Particular attention is paid to the construction of roads, bridges, and development of engineering infrastructure in Ashgabat.
After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need for strict adherence to deadlines and quality of work, increasing production of construction materials, modernizing the energy sector, and strengthening oversight of highway construction. The head of state approved the plans and instructed that their practical implementation be ensured in 2026.
