Turkmenistan plans to modernize its water supply and distribution systems in response to climate change and environmental threats, said Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev.
“The entire world is currently facing climate change and other environmental threats. In these circumstances, the importance of the water management sector is constantly growing. For this reason, Turkmenistan plans to modernize its water supply and distribution systems,” Atagulyev said during the Turkmenistan Economy Days in Germany.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Ashgabat considers establishing effective cooperation with Germany in the rational use of water resources and the implementation of water-saving technologies one of its key priorities.
Atagulyev also noted the potential for bilateral cooperation in the construction sector.
The Turkmenistan Economy Days held October 30-31 in Frankfurt am Main. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan are organizing the event in collaboration with TMT Consulting Group.
