Several higher education institutions in Turkmenistan are developing specialized curricula on artificial intelligence, information technology and blockchain technologies, as reported by the Türkmenistan newspaper. The relevant information was presented on August 23 in the conference room of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University during a meeting of the country’s education workers. The event was dedicated to summing up the results of the 2024-2025 academic year and discussing the tasks for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. The report was made by the acting head of the cybersecurity department of the Yagshygeldy Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, PhD in Technical Sciences Maksat Churiev. He spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in the education system and the positive experience achieved in this area. According to Churiev, the development of specialized educational programs is carried out on the basis of the instructions of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the training of young people in the field of artificial intelligence, IT and blockchain technologies. As noted, the new educational programs are of great importance both for raising the level of education of young people and for training specialists in accordance with the requirements of a modern market economy.
