At a Government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the results of the activities of the supervised areas for January-August of the current year.
It was reported that during the period under review, the reform of the education system was continued. At the system advanced teaching methods were widely used. Pupils and students actively participated in international Olympiads, demonstrating great success. Along with this, a good rest was provided for children during the summer holidays. International educational and methodological forums, Olympiads, a conference of education workers under the motto “International Year of Peace and Trust” were also held.
In addition, planned work was carried out aimed at further development of the scientific sphere, the implementation of scientific work on priority aspects of science and technology was coordinated. Admission to postgraduate and doctoral studies in scientific areas also took place, applicants for an academic degree were registered, dissertations were defended.
At the same time, advanced methods of practical medicine were introduced into preventive and therapeutic activities. Sick children were operated and treated at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. Various events were organized on the 30th anniversary of the State Program “Saglyk”, including in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as practical conferences “State Program “Saglyk” in Action” in the velayat centers. Healthcare workers who distinguished themselves in their work were presented with gifts on behalf of the Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan.
Work was continued on the development of physical culture and sports, training of professional athletes. The International Tournament in National Wrestling Goresh and Belt Wrestling Alysh, the International Chess Tournament among athletes under 8, 10 and 12 years old were held in an organized manner in the capital. During the specified period, our athletes won 640 medals.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of proper preparation and high-level holding of events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. In this context, the head of state instructed to organize the donation of modern computers to first-graders on behalf of Hero Arkadag on the beginning of the new academic year.
