Turkmenistan will increase the number of air, rail and bus routes to the Avaza National Tourist Zone ahead of the summer season and the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This was announced by the head of the Agency for Transport and Communications Mammetkhan Chakyev at an extended visiting meeting of the Government.

It is planned to launch additional railway routes Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat, as well as regular bus routes from Balkanabat airport to Turkmenbashi and from Turkmenbashi railway station to Avaza. In addition, the frequency of flights to Balkanabat from Ashgabat, Dashoguz, Mary, Turkmenabad and Kerki will increase.

Particular attention is paid to the transport provision of the participants of the upcoming UN conference, including the organization of special air and rail transportation, as well as the optimization of urban public transport in Turkmenbashi. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of high-quality organization of transportation for the guests of the forum.
