Turkmenistan is preparing for celebrations to mark the 5th anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of guardianship. A proposal to this effect was voiced during a working meeting in the city of Arkadag, as reported by the Turkmenistan Today news agency.
Hyakim of Arkadag city Gulshat Mammedova, addressing the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the city administration, proposed a solemn celebration of the Foundation’s anniversary, founded five years ago.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal, emphasizing the need to develop a specific celebration plan with the active involvement of the country’s cultural and artistic figures. The selection of a venue for the celebrations and the preparation of a cultural program should be addressed in a comprehensive manner, he noted.
In addition, meeting participants discussed the progress of the second phase of construction in Arkadag, including the medical cluster facilities and a new park.
Preparations for International Women’s Day, including a ceremony honoring mothers with many children and housewarming events for their families, were discussed separately. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed that all planned events be organized at a high level.
