At a government meeting on October 17, Deputy Prime Minister T. Atakhalliyev reported on preparations for the upcoming events to mark the Turkmen Alabai Festival, which will be held on the last Sunday of October.
In this context, the head of state instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure due preparations for the events dedicated to the Turkmen Alabai Festival, which will be held on the last Sunday of October.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on activities in the agricultural sector and the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayats.
As reported, work is currently underway in agricultural areas across the country aimed at harvesting the cotton crop as quickly as possible, processing the raw cotton at gins, and effectively utilizing combines and other equipment during the cotton harvest. Wheat sowing for next year’s harvest is also ongoing. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring the productivity of agricultural machinery used in the sowing campaign. Irrigation is being carried out on the sown areas.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of further comprehensive development of the agricultural sector. As noted, it is essential to properly sow winter wheat and harvest the cotton within the established timeframe.
