At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, where the country’s socioeconomic development for January–October of this year was summarized, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported that the GDP growth rate was 6.3 percent. Positive dynamics were noted in all key areas of the economy.
Specifically, growth in industry reached 1.7 percent, in construction – 8.1 percent, in transport and communications – 10.4 percent, in trade – 9.7 percent, in agriculture – 5.2 percent, and in services – 8.3 percent. The overall volume of output increased by 10.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Retail turnover increased by 13 percent, and foreign trade turnover – by 9.2 percent. State budget revenue for the reporting period is expected to be fulfilled at 100 percent, and expenditure at 96.3 percent. The average wage at large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 11.9 percent, and pensions, benefits, and stipends were funded on time.
Capital investment increased by 3.7 percent, and implementation of the National Rural Program continues. After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of further improving the country’s financial, economic, and banking sectors.
The Deputy Prime Minister also presented the draft State Budget for 2026, prepared as part of the Presidential Program for Socioeconomic Development for 2022–2028. The draft provides for capital investments in the development of economic sectors and regions of the country. The President signed a letter submitting the draft State Budget to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for review.
