The youth team of Turkmenistan, led by head coach Ahmet Agamyradov, is preparing for the Asian Cup (U23) qualifiers in Jordan.
Tomorrow, September 3, the youth team of Turkmenistan will play its first match against the Chinese Taipei team. In this regard, an organizational meeting was held today in Amman ahead of the game.
Representatives of the teams, officials who will officiate the match, and tournament organizers, attended the meeting. During the meeting, key issues related to the match’s conduct were discussed. The teams’ uniforms were also presented and officially approved. The youth team of our national team will take to the field in white for the first match, while the opposing team will wear blue. The youth team of our national team will wear green in the remaining matches in the group. The match will start tomorrow at 19:00.
According to the draw, the youth national team of Turkmenistan will compete for the group championship in Group “A” with the national teams of Jordan, Chinese Taipei, and Bhutan.
The youth national teams representing 44 countries will compete in 11 groups for the qualification round of the Asian Cup-2026. As a result of the matches to be held, the first-place teams in the groups, the four best second-place teams, and the national teams of the host Saudi Arabia will compete in the final round of the Round of 16.
