On October 21, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages held a gala event dedicated to Uzbek Language Day, organized jointly with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.
Diplomats, including the ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, as well as faculty and students of the institute, participated in the ceremony.
Participants noted the importance of preserving the native language, the role of Uzbek literary heritage, and the closeness of the Turkmen and Uzbek languages, which facilitates cultural cooperation.
Students recited poems by Turkmen and Uzbek poets and performed songs and dances. The institute received a five-volume “Explanatory Dictionary of the Uzbek Language,” and active participants received commemorative gifts.
