On February 10, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov. During the conversation, they discussed ways to further strengthen the relations of friendship, good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The steady increase in trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Projects on industrial cooperation between the two countries are being implemented, work continues on implementing joint large infrastructure projects, such as the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the Kambaratin hydroelectric power station.
The presidents also discussed important issues on the regional agenda, the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events, the online publication “uza.uz” reports.
