Uzbekistan has launched the leasing process for retail space in the Shavat-Dashoguz Free Trade Zone (FTZ) between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The site is aimed at developing active cross-border trade and provides entrepreneurs with a favorable location and modern business infrastructure.
The Shavat-Dashoguz Free Trade Zone covers an area of 3.1 hectares. The zone’s infrastructure includes 112 open-air shopping arcades, 28 indoor shopping pavilions, and 16 retail stores. The area also includes pharmacies and medical facilities, a hotel, a cafeteria, hairdressers, and parking for 300 cars. A visa-free regime, high trade potential, and the gradual expansion of economic ties between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan create favorable conditions for stable and long-term entrepreneurship.
Retail space can be leased through an online auction on the e-auksion.uz platform.
The Shavat-Dashoguz Joint Border Trade Zone opened on November 18, 2025.
