Today, on March 28, the closing ceremony of the OMOUS-2026 Olympiad was held in the conference hall of the International University for the Humanities and Development. At the event, the students who achieved high results were awarded with appropriate medals and certificates of honor.
In accordance with the regulations, the participating higher education institutions submitted 5 problems for the Olympiad and sent them to the organizing committee with a specific solution 20 days before the date of the Olympiad. The problems submitted to the Olympiad were accepted on the basis that the solutions to the problems were not given in any book. In accordance with the regulations, problems proposed by higher education institutions not participating in the Olympiad or by independent experts were also accepted.
According to the results of OMOUS-2026, a total of 156 medals were awarded in the individual competition, including 32 gold, 45 silver, 79 bronze at level A; and a total of 182 medals at level B – 33 gold, 49 silver, 100 bronze. They also won a total of 34 medals, 6 gold, 12 silver, and 16 bronze medals in the team competition.
It is worth noting that Turkmen students particularly distinguished themselves at the Olympics. Our Turkmen youth won a total of 78 medals in the A category – 15 gold, 30 silver, and 33 bronze medals; in the B category, a total of 120 medals – 18 gold, 39 silver, and 63 bronze medals. In the team competition, a total of 13 medals, 2 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
After Turkmenistan, the delegations from Uzbekistan won the most medals. Students from the fraternal country won a total of 103 medals in the individual competition, 3 gold, 7 silver, and 41 bronze medals in the A category, and 10 gold, 9 silver, and 33 bronze medals in the B category. In the team competition, 39 teams from Uzbekistan won a total of 10 medals, 3 silver, and 7 bronze medals. Then, students from the Russian Federation won 30 medals in the individual competition, including 13 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze medals in the A category, and 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals in the B category. In the team competition, they won a total of 7 medals, 4 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal in the 9 groups.
In addition, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan won 1 gold medal in the A category in the individual competition and 1 bronze medal in the group competition. In the B category, students from Greece, the Netherlands, Germany, and Hungary won 1 gold medal. In addition, representatives of Greece and the Netherlands won 1 silver medal in the group competition. The delegations of the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Iran won 1 bronze medal in the individual competition. The Iranian delegation also won 1 bronze medal in the group competition.
