Dubai International Airport (DXB) has launched the world’s first AI-powered corridor, allowing passengers to clear immigration without stopping or presenting documents.
The AI system processes up to ten people at a time, recognizing passengers before they physically arrive at the checkpoints, said Lt. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
The new AI corridor speeds up procedures and doubles the airport’s capacity. The system also detects irregularities by routing suspicious passports directly to experts in the relevant department.
Dubai Airport will retain its status as the world’s busiest airport by international passenger traffic in 2024. The introduction of advanced technology reduces waiting times and prevents crowds, making all procedures a comfortable process for all travelers.
