Bayram Velhanov, a lecturer at the Department of Industrial Ecology of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Ecology of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, is pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Tsukuba in Japan and is conducting relevant research activities in the field of hydrogen energy.
The lecturer’s study trip abroad is being carried out within the framework of the “SDGs Global Leader” program implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The master’s degree program will run from September 12, 2026, to March 31, 2029.
The University lecturer will conduct research jointly with scientists and specialists of the University of Tsukuba on producing hydrogen energy from natural gas and sustainable development systems. He will also study Japan’s extensive experience in environmental protection, sustainable energy and clean technologies, and participate in theoretical and practical classes in relevant fields.
The knowledge that the representative of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University will acquire at one of the world’s renowned scientific and educational centers, together with the research he will conduct, will make a significant contribution to introducing innovative technologies into our country’s oil and gas sector and advancing the sustainable energy strategy.
