One of the most unusual performances at the opening ceremony of the SCO International Film Festival in Cholpon-Ata was a performance by humanoid robots presented by the Shanghai technology company Unitree.
According to the Department of Cinematography, four robots took the stage and performed a choreographic composition, first to contemporary Chinese music, and then to Kyrgyz national melody. The performance was included in the official festival program as a symbol of the combination of modern technology and art. The robots’ performance was part of a large-scale opening concert program, which also featured the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Kyrgyz Republic, artists from the Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic, and international performers.
