The 27th conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan, marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, as reported by the turkmenistan.gov.tm.
The forum brought together delegates from all regions of the country and representatives of the Turkmen diaspora abroad.
As per tradition, before the meeting, forum participants laid flowers at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan. Applied arts masters held a national heritage exhibition in the foyer of the Public Organizations Center, featuring museum treasures, artifacts, and works.
Following the performance of the National Anthem of Turkmenistan, Executive Secretary of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World Rejep Bazarov read a welcoming address from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the meeting participants. During the working session, delegates heard a report on the association’s work and discussed key objectives for the organization’s further development.
Representatives from Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World’s foreign branches in Germany, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Türkiye shared their experiences supporting compatriots, developing cultural and humanitarian ties, and preserving their native languages, national traditions, and customs abroad.
The forum included a ceremony presenting certificates of honor to distinguished members of the association for their contribution to strengthening the unity and cohesion of Turkmens worldwide. The conference concluded with the adoption of a letter of thanks to the President of Turkmenistan.
