On April 12, 2026, the III International Olympiad in Mathematics for High School Students was successfully concluded at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. 170 students participated in this educational competition from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Uzbekistan, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Turkiye, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazahstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as from general education schools of Turkmenistan.
The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan and relevant leaders, the head of the jury, members of foreign delegations, school students attended the closing ceremony of the International Mathematics Olympiad from foreign countries and Turkmenistan who has participated the olympiad, as well as representatives of the mass media. At the event, representatives of the delegations from the participating countries spoke, emphasizing great importance of this educational competition for strengthening peace, fostering friendship among nations, and enhancing international scientific and educational cooperation. Participants of the event expressed their sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, and to our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating such wonderful opportunities for younger generation.
The winners of the competition were awarded. As known, the competition was held at levels A and B. The jury, composed of teachers from secondary schools and lecturers from universities of the country and abroad, analyzed the works of participants. The winners were ceremoniously presented with honorary certificates and medals bronze, silver, and gold medals. The musical performances by children at the conclusion of the event infused the celebration with a special spirit of enthusiasm.
At the III International Olympiad in Mathematics for High School Students, turkmen school students achieved high results, winning 6 gold medals. In this ranking, students from Tajikistan secured second place with 3 gold medals, while representatives from the Uzbekistan took third place with 2 gold medals. In total, participants of the Olympiad were awarded 85 medals at levels A and B. Students from Turkmenistan achieved the highest results, winning 29 medals, including 6 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze medals. In this ranking, students from Uzbekistan secured second place with 16 medals, and students from Tajikistan took third place with 15 medals.
The III International Mathematics Olympiad was successfully concluded, and met its goal of promoting the development of exact sciences, enhance interactions between the younger generation and teachers, and strengthening friendship and peace through science and education. This event has become one of the most magnicifent highlights celebrated during the year «Independent, neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses».
