On April 25, Ashgabat will host the “Young Engineer 2026” engineering and technology competition for schoolchildren.
The organizers are the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Department of Education of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.
The competition will be held in four categories.
In the “Smart Manufacturing and Service Technologies” category, students in grades 7–12 will present their projects. Participants can participate individually or in teams of up to two.
In the “Robotics” category, students in grades 7–12 will compete individually. The robots’ task is to collect balls and place them in containers of varying heights within 2.5 minutes. The top five participants will represent the country at the “First Global Challenge 2026” championship.
In the “Young Coders” category, students in grade 8 and younger will submit projects in Scratch—games, animations, or applications. The “BattleBots” category is open to participants of all ages.
Registration is mandatory and will run until April 15, 2026.
Winners will receive valuable prizes and certificates from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
