Following negotiations between Kazakhstan and Germany, more than 30 trade documents worth approximately 2 billion dollar were signed. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced this on September 29 at a briefing following talk with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.
“More than 30 commercial documents worth approximately 2 billion dollar were signed during the negotiations. It’s clear that with the effective implementation of these contracts, cooperation between the two countries will become even stronger,” president Tokayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that important agreements were reached during the talks with Merz. He called the meetings “meaningful and fruitful.” Tokayev also noted that during the talks, the parties exchanged views on pressing regional and global issues.
“We believe that any conflict must be resolved peacefully and diplomatically. This is the shared position of our countries. Furthermore, we agreed to further develop the dialogue in the Central Asia-Germany format. Kazakhstan intends to strengthen its strategic partnership with Germany, focused on long-term, mutually beneficial, and concrete results,” he said.
