The Turkmenistan Chess Federation invites professional players and coaches to participate in the capital’s leg of the prestigious Grand Prix competition series. The tournament will bring together the country’s best chess players to compete for prize money and ranking points.
The competition will be held at the Specialized Chess and Checkers School of the Ashgabat Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
Athletes and coaches who are professional members of the Turkmenistan Chess Federation are eligible to participate.
The panel of judges will include Serdar Annaberdyev (FIDE Arbiter) and Aigul Saryeva (National Category Judge).
The total prize fund for the tournament is 10 000 manat. Winners and runners-up will be awarded cash prizes, certificates of honor, medals, and commemorative gifts from the Federation.
The Turkmenistan Chess Federation will cover the costs of organizing the event. Participants from other regions will be accommodated in comfortable rooms at the Grand Hotel (Ashgabat).
Note: Hotel accommodations are not available to residents of the capital and surrounding areas.
The competition will be held from May 3 to 8, 2026.
