A training seminar for 16 primary care physicians from the villages of Parahatchylyk, Gökhan, Gurbandurdy, and Ak Altyn was held in the Ahal velayat. The event was organized by the International Organization for Migration and held at a medical facility in the village of Parahatchylyk, according to the country’s International Medical Information Center.
The training was conducted by national experts—physicians from the IOM Mobile Resource Center in Turkmenistan. Participants learned about modern approaches to primary care in gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and gastrointestinal diseases.
They focused on early diagnosis, prevention, and management of complications. They also discussed ways to improve the quality of consultations in rural areas. They also addressed children’s digestive health, the impact of nutrition and intestinal microflora, infectious diseases, and the rational use of medications.
Participants also discussed the early detection of hypertension and diabetes in women, particularly in high-risk groups. The course covered pregnancy management with associated conditions, including metabolic disorders and cardiovascular pathologies.
The practical portion of the course focused on developing clinical skills and enhancing physician decision-making skills in primary care.
